From the Science Forum, all disciplines in Science Departments celebrated a National Science Day on March 4, 2024 to promote the discovery of science. The resource person Prof. Dr. B.K. Kempegowda, Professor, Department of Chemistry, GFGC, Nanjanagudu. He explained the theme of this year 'Indigenous technology for Viksit Bharat'. He spoke to us on the adoption of technology in everyday life, the effectiveness of increased use, and the strategic distinction between it and earlier technology.
Dr. B.N. Chandrasekhar, the IQAC Coordinator, delivered the National Science day's keynote address. He explained the early life of C.V. Raman: his birth, his education, and his early working experience. Once Raman was travelling on the Medatrian Sea, and he started to wonder why the sea was blue in colour. Later, he will work on theoretical physics and light.

To pay tribute to CV Raman, February 28, the day of the discovery of the Raman effect, is celebrated as National Science Day in India from 1987.
