The B.Sc. Freshers’ Party – 2025 was held on 22nd August 2025 at 11:00 AM in the Seminar Hall of Sri Adichunchanagiri First Grade College, Channarayapatna. The programme was organized under the Science Forum.

The function began with a prayer by Miss Ganavi, III B.Sc., followed by the welcome address by Miss Lavanya G.M., II B.Sc. The chief guest of the day was Mr. K. Mohan Kumar, Assistant Director of Agriculture, Channarayapatna, who delivered an inspiring speech to the freshers. He advised the students to always keep their objectives in mind and strive towards achieving them with dedication.

Ms. Arpitha H.J., HoD of Physics Department, addressed the gathering with a keynote address, encouraging the students to excel in their academic and personal journey. Dr. Chandrashekar B.N. guided the programme with an overall address, motivating the students and appreciating the efforts of the Science Forum.

The event was anchored by Miss Pavithra S.D., III B.Sc., and concluded with a vote of thanks by Miss Moulya S.K., III B.Sc.

In the afternoon session, II and III B.Sc. students presented a cultural programme, showcasing their talents through music, dance, and other performances. Fun-filled games were conducted for the first-year students, which created an interactive and lively atmosphere. As a highlight of the day, the “Lucky Fresher” was selected by picking a name, done by the Chief Guest, making the event more memorable.

A field visit to the Vignatham Ustav 2025

On Feb 19th , 2025,  A field visit to the Vignatham Ustav 2025 from the Department of Physics, sounds like a great opportunity! around  45 Students  actively participated in this Vignatham Ustav is likely a scientific or educational festival or event, possibly centered around physics, technology, or innovation. It could involve exhibits, workshops, lectures, and hands-on experiences related to various fields of physics and scientific advancements.

Our Students understanding and learned the Applications of Physics: Look for sessions or discussions on how physics principles are applied in various industries—whether it's space exploration, medical technologies, or sustainable energy solutions. If this Vignatham ustav 2025 has a community outreach aspect, there may be activities focused on making physics accessible to students or the general public. This can be a chance to inspire and mentor younger generations or curious minds.

Interference of light and its Applications

The special lecture programme is exclusively arranged for the BSc., Physics students to know the importance of on “Interference of light and its Applications6th November 2024. Mrs. Arpitha H.J., Assistant Professor and Head of the department of Physics welcomed the gathering and addressed  a brief of the topic.Mrs Roopa.L. delivered a talk on “Interference of light and its Applications”

Interference of light is a phenomenon that occurs when two or more light waves overlap and combine. It can lead to regions of constructive interference (where the waves reinforce each other) or destructive interference (where the waves cancel each other out). This behavior is a direct result of the wave nature of light.

Mrs Roopa. L HOD & Assistant Professor Department of Physics,  Hoysalewara College Arasikere. She discussed the specifics of  light with the students. She emphasized  The interference of light is a striking demonstration of light's wave nature, showing how waves can interact with each other in ways that can enhance or diminish the intensity of light. Understanding interference is crucial in areas like optics, telecommunications, and quantum mechanics.

In the program  Mrs Arpitha H J  gave the presidential talk about the topic. Finally. Moulya S.K delivered the vote of thanks of the program. and also anchoring by our student Chandanashree.

Special Guest lecture on “Vikram Sarabhai-Space Research"

The special lecture programme is exclusively arranged for the BSc., Physics students to know the importance of Vikram Sarabhai-Space Research on Thursday 14th December 2023. Mrs. Arpitha H.J., Assistant Professor and Head of the department of Physics welcomed the gathering and addressed  a brief of the topic. Dr. Niranjan R.S. delivered a talk on “ Vikram Sarabhai-Space Research”.

India's third lunar mission, Chandrayaan 3, is being carried out by ISRO (Indian Space Research Organisation). ISRO says the mission is scheduled to start on July 14, 2023. By August 2023, the mission's goal is to successfully land a lander and rover on the lunar highlands close to the South Pole.

Dr. Niranjan R.S., HoD & Assistant Professor Department of Physics, Government Science College(Autonomous),Hassan, discussed the specifics of Chandrayaan 3 with the students. He emphasized the mission's unique qualities and its significance as an indigenous endeavor—a source of national pride.
