BA and BCom Freshers Party

The Department of Arts and Commerce of Sri Adichunchanagiri First Grade College, Channarayapatna, organized a Welcome Ceremony for the First-Year B.A. and B.Com. students of the academic year 2025–26. The programme was arranged by the Second and Third-Year B.A. and B.Com. students.

The resource person of the event was Mr. L. Santhosh, PSI, Rural Police Station, Channarayapatna, who addressed the students with an inspiring talk. The programme was presided over by Dr. Manjunatha M.K., Principal of the college.

The event was organized under the guidance of Dr. Nagaraja, Head of the Department of Arts, and Mr. Sridhar A.N., Head of the Department of Commerce.

The programme successfully created a warm and motivating atmosphere for the newcomers and encouraged them to embark on their academic journey with enthusiasm.

Prize Distribution Programme “The Role of Youth in Preserving Democratic Values”

On 05-05-2025, the Department of Political Science and Karnataka Dalith Co-ordination ( Manuja math ) with MOU Organized an essay competition on the topic “ The Role of Youth in Preserving Democratic Values”. The essay competition was held in room number 201. A total of 77 students participated. Bengaluru Businessman Sri Ananda Gowda, who distributed prize to the Winners of the essay competition on Monday ,Spoke at the competitive Examination, he said that if success is achieved , it will help in shaping life. In this essay competition Eight Students got Consolation prize for First Place -Ruchitha S V, Second Place- Mohana H D , Third Place- Jayashree B R .

The District Coordinator of the Association is Mr.Govindaraju Dindaguru, our college Principal Dr M K Manjunath Assistant Professors Siddaraju R K Shivappa ,Dr B N Chandrashekar, Sridhar A N , Arpitha H J and Organization Leaders Shivalingowda, Kesavamurthy , A K Swamy, also the participated.

Live Observation of Legislative Assembly and Council Sessions for Academic Learning

On March 12, 2025, the Department of Political Science paid a visit to the Bangalore Legislative Assembly for educational purposes. 4 faculty members – Dr. Nagaraja N.T. Assistant Professor; Mr. Siddarju, Assistant Professor; Mrs. Niroosha M R., Assistant Professor; and Mr. Lokesh G.S., Assistant Professor – and 50 students participated in the live session. They first took us to the Legislative Assembly, where Mr. U. T. Khadhar was answering MLA’s questions and the Speaker was handling the situation. Next, we went to the Legislative Council, where Aruru Manjunath was outlining the reasons why the ruling party had been so successful.

We then went to the Visvesvaraya Industrial & Technical Museum where the students had a fun science learning experience
