Special Lecture Programme on Current Tax Reforms

 The Department of Economics, in collaboration with the IQAC, organized a Special Lecture Programme on “Current Tax Reforms” on 10th September 2025 at the Seminar Hall. The resource person for the session was Prof. Chandregowda N., Retired Professor, Maharaja’s College, Mysore, who shared his valuable insights on the subject.

On this occasion, students who excelled in Economics by scoring 100 marks were honored. The awardees were Mohan H.D., Sandhya K.M., Kavana C.R., Ganavi, Shivakumar, and Bhavyashree. They were felicitated by Lokesh G. S., Head of the Department of Economics.

National Sports Day 2025 – Tug of War Competition

On the occasion of National Sports Day 2025, a Tug of War Competition was organized in the college premises to encourage team spirit and physical fitness among students.

Mr. Santhosh K., alumnus of our college, presently serving in the Police Department, graced the event as the Chief Guest. A dedicated sports person, he shared his motivational journey and highlighted how, through his hard work and determination, he secured a prestigious Karnataka Government job.

The programme was presided over by Dr. Manjunatha M.K., Principal, and coordinated by Mr. Bhaskara J., Physical Education Director.

The competition witnessed enthusiastic participation from both boys and girls:

    Winners: III Year B.Sc. Students
    Runners: II Year B.Com. Students

  • Boys Category
    Winners: III Year B.Com. Students
    Runners: II Year B.A. Students

The event concluded with applause and encouragement to all the participants for their sportsmanship and team effort.

Valedictory Programme of Culture, Sports and Co-Curricular for the year 2024-25

Kalasinchana Vedike organized the concluding ceremony of Culture, Sports and Co-Curricular Activities for the year 2024-25 on 02-06-2025. Sri Sri Sri Dr. Nirmalanandanath Mahaswamiji said that skills are important along with education in the modern era. He gave the blessing at the concluding ceremony of Culture, Sports and Co-Curricular Activities. "If students want to join the job in the competitive world, they should develop skills after graduation. Especially communication skills should be developed. Knowledge should be increased by developing skills." He said that if you want to be successful in life, you should cut down on unnecessary activities.

Sri Sri Shambhunath Mahaswamiji said, 'Students need the guidance of teachers. He advised them to practice a lot to succeed in competitive exams.'

P.N. Hemachandra, Associate Professor at Maharani College, Mysore, spoke as the chief guest of the program and said, 'Students should have a hunger for knowledge. There is no employment problem in India now, but there is a shortage of skills to work. Time is important. By utilizing it well, if you reach the desire to achieve the highest, you can reach the goal. Inferiority should not be a hindrance to achievement. Do not make lame excuses. Students should have a clear attitude to achieve,' he gave new impetus to the students.
