BA and BCom Freshers Party

The Department of Arts and Commerce of Sri Adichunchanagiri First Grade College, Channarayapatna, organized a Welcome Ceremony for the First-Year B.A. and B.Com. students of the academic year 2025–26. The programme was arranged by the Second and Third-Year B.A. and B.Com. students.

The resource person of the event was Mr. L. Santhosh, PSI, Rural Police Station, Channarayapatna, who addressed the students with an inspiring talk. The programme was presided over by Dr. Manjunatha M.K., Principal of the college.

The event was organized under the guidance of Dr. Nagaraja, Head of the Department of Arts, and Mr. Sridhar A.N., Head of the Department of Commerce.

The programme successfully created a warm and motivating atmosphere for the newcomers and encouraged them to embark on their academic journey with enthusiasm.

Retail Store Visit

As a part of Retail Management topic, Department of Commerce have organised a Retail store visit for the B.Com Students on 14^th of November 2024.  Students were organized into three groups and each group visited three different places like Inventory management, Layout management and Marketing activities Experts in the field of marketing in  store addressed the students on the current marketing practices followed and clarified the questions raised by the students. Following the interaction with the experts, students were encouraged to observe and interact with the customers to understand and describe the profile of market segment visiting each store. Faculty team of B.Com including Mr, Sridhar A N, Head Department of Commerce,  Mr. Narasimhamurthy P Assistant Professor  guided the students during the field visit.

As part of Retail store visit, Mr.Raju Sr .Executive – Visual Merchandising & Marketing, Ms. Suvitha Lakshmanan – Deputy Manager HR, Relance smart Pvt Ltd addressed the students on various market segments of SPAR and explained the business model and other marketing strategies followed by Reliance during the field study.

True 5G is a Revolutionary Technology

A True 5G is a Revolutionary Technology event was held on September 8, 2023, on Friday. It was organised by the Department of Commerce, Career Guidance and Placement Cell, and IQAC. The Head of the S&D Urban Area, Mr. Braj Pandey. He discussed how 5G is more than just a technology, allowing students to quickly access online resources and advance their knowledge.

Field Visit to APMC Market

On Saturday, 21 January 2023, the Department of Commerce visited APMC Market to provide practical knowledge to first-year B.Com students.
