Mysore University Inter-Collegiate Completions-cum-Selection Trials in Wrestling (Men and Women) for the year of 2024-25

 Department of Physical Education and Sports, Sri Adichunachangiri First Grade College Students has participated in a Mysore University Intercollegiate Men Wrestling Competition, which was organized by Department of Physical Education, University of Mysore, Mysore on 28th October to 30th October 2024.  Out of a total of 45 students, our college wrestler, Mr. Gangaraju, achieved first place in the 77 kg Greco-Roman category and third place in the 79 kg Freestyle category. Mr. Gangaraju was guided by Mr. Bhaskara J, Physical Education Instructor. The participant was honoured by the Principal and members of the college sports committee.

Mr. Gangaraju’s remarkable performance earned him a spot in the All India Inter-University competition for the 77 kg Greco-Roman event, bringing national recognition to our college.






Rangoli Competition: Deepavali Festival

 The Cultural Forum of the college “Kalasinchana” had organized a Rangoli Competition held on 30-10-2024 on the occasion of the Deepavali festival in the decoration with deepa & flower. There are 8 groups of 16 students who participated. The cultural Secretary Mrs.Arpitha H.J.,Organized the event Dr.Nirupama M.HoD of Zoology, Dr.Praveen kumar S Hod of Sociology and  Mrs. Kavitha J.N., Librarian were the judges of the competition.

Mysore University Malnad Zone Inter Collegiate Men and Women Badminton Tournament 2024-25

Department of Physical Education and Sports, Sri Adichunachangiri First Grade College Students has participated in a UOM Malnad Zone Inter-collegiate Men badminton Tournament, which was organized by YDD Government First Grade College, Belur on 25th October 2024. Out of Eight teams, our college secured Third place in this tournament. The team was led by Mr.Bhaskara.J, Physical Education Instructor. The team participants were felicitated by the Principal and college sports committee members.

Field study to Nandhini Hi-Tech Product Plant, CRP

On October 18, 2024, Department of Economics organized a field visit for II B.A, Students to visit Nandini Hi-tech Product Plant, Shettiyalli Channarayapatna. By 11.30 along with Lokesh GS, HOD of Zoology, Mr. Vijayakumar K M and Mr. Siddaraju all II year EP students were went to visit field there they collected and observed different kinds Milk Products, butter, Ghee, Milk powder. The unit  established in 2008 This unit is supplied with milk from Tumukuru, Shimoga, Hassan Dairy and Mangalore Dairy 90% of the work in this unit is done by machines and the rest of the work is done by labor only 120 upper level 350 lower level workers are working in this unit.  In this unit milk powder, butter, ghee etc. products are prepared with 90% purity and purity and naturally produce the product. These products are usually sold in the national market as well as in the international market. 1 lakh liters of milk per hour is supplied to this unit by milk tankers.  Apart from that good life symbol high quality milk is also produced. The head office of this unit is located in Koramangala, Bengaluru. In this unit you can see machines worth crores. In this unit you can see two technologies Labour -intensive and Capital-intensive. All the information was shared with the students by the KMF Technical Officer of the unit Savithri Madam.

Students took up production of milk products, their packaging and their distribution.  Apart from learning about production and production process, the establishment of a business organization, its management, where the demand and supply of production materials, all these aspects were covered by the students. We returned to college at 2.30pm.

International Day of the Girl Child: 2024

Women Empowerment Cell and Women Sexual Harassment Prevention Cell in collaboration with IQAC and Department of Women and Child Welfare, Channarayapatna organized an International Day of the Girl Child: 2024 Girls’ Vision for the Future on Tuesday October 15th 2024 at 201 Seminar hall at 11.30 AM.. The chief guest, Senior Civil Judge A. Aruna Kumari, stated that girls should have better education in order to influence their future. Women have the right to equality under the law. Participate in curricular and extracurricular activities and achieve higher in life. She said that the girl child should be treated with respect and the exploitation she is facing should be avoided.

The resource person, N. Kumar, District Narrator of Women and Child Development Department, said that along with the protection, safety and empowerment of girls, the objective of the International Day of the Girl Child should be to eliminate female feticide, child marriage, exploitation, gender discrimination and sexual violence. Field Education Officer H.N. Deepa said that if girls want to achieve their goals, they should have patience and sincere efforts. Indra, A.S., CDPO, Channarayapatna, Dr. M.K. Manjunath, Principal and President of the Programme, Conveners’ of the Programme Dr. Nirupama M. and Mrs. Kavitha J.N. were present in the Programme.
