The department of Archology Museum and Heritage, Government of Karnataka in association with Sri Adichunchanagiri First Grade College Channaryapatna-573116 had organized the Inauguration of Heritage Club of the College and Special Guest Lecture on "The Heritage of Hassan District". The Sunil Kumar H.B. Asst. Prof. Department of History, Government First Grade College, Hirisave was the resource person, he spoke on the pre history of the Hassan District and also about the inscription of Kadamba's and Hoysals in the Hassan district and also it's conservation. Sri Kumar S.C. is Curator of Hassan Museum said that students need to create awareness among people about the preservation of historical monuments . The principal told the students to develop historic sence among them. He also advised that if there were any inscriptions in their villages which have been neglected it should be brought to light. Students should also create awareness among ancient monuments among thier villagers. He also said that students shod first try to know the local history and traditions of their villages which have been neglected in the history
ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ಪುರಾತತ್ವ ವಸ್ತು ಸಂಗ್ರಹಾಲಯ ಮತ್ತು ಪರಂಪರೆ ಇಲಾಖೆಯು ಶ್ರೀ ಆದಿಚುಂಚನಗಿರಿ ಪ್ರಥಮ ದರ್ಜೆ ಕಾಲೇಜು ಚನ್ನರಾಯಪಟ್ಟಣ-573116 ರ ಸಹಯೋಗದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಹೆರಿಟೇಜ್ ಕ್ಲಬ್ ಉದ್ಘಾಟನೆ ಮತ್ತು “ಹಾಸನ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಪರಂಪರೆ” ಕುರಿತು ವಿಶೇಷ ಅತಿಥಿ ಉಪನ್ಯಾಸವನ್ನು ಆಯೋಜಿಸಿತ್ತು. ಸುನೀಲ್ ಕುಮಾರ್ ಎಚ್.ಬಿ. ಸಹಾಯಕ ಪ್ರಾಧ್ಯಾಪಕ ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ಪ್ರಥಮ ದರ್ಜೆ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಇತಿಹಾಸ ವಿಭಾಗ, ಇವರು ಹಾಸನ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಪೂರ್ವ ಇತಿಹಾಸ ಹಾಗೂ ಹಾಸನ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಕದಂಬರ ಮತ್ತು ಹೊಯ್ಸಳರ ಶಾಸನಗಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಅದರ ಸಂರಕ್ಷಣೆ ಕುರಿತು ಮಾತನಾಡಿದರು. ಹಾಸನ ವಸ್ತು ಸಂಗ್ರಹಾಲಯದ ಕ್ಯುರೇಟರ್ ಶ್ರೀ ಕುಮಾರ್ ಎಸ್.ಸಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ, ಐತಿಹಾಸಿಕ ಸ್ಮಾರಕಗಳ ಸಂರಕ್ಷಣೆ ಕುರಿತು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಜನರಲ್ಲಿ ಜಾಗೃತಿ ಮೂಡಿಸಬೇಕೆಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು. ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷತೆ ವಹಿಸಿದ್ದ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲರಾದ ಡಾ.ಎಂ.ಕೆ.ಮಂಜುನಾಥ್‌ ರವರು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳನ್ನು ಕುರಿತು ಪ್ರಾಚೀನ ಸ್ಮಾರಕಗಳ ಸಂರಕ್ಷಣೆ, ಇತಿಹಾಸದ ಕೆಲವು ಸಂಗತಿಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಚನ್ನರಾಯಪಟ್ಟಣದ ಐತಿಹಾಸಿಕ ಮಹತ್ವದ ಸ್ಥಳಗಳನ್ನು ಕುರಿತು ಮಾತನಾಡಿದರು.
