On Monday, January 30, 2023, at 11 a.m., the Department of Political Science hosted the 75th Sarvodaya Day at Kuvempu Forum. There was a two-minute tribute. Mr. Siddaraju spoke about Mahatma Gandhi's death and his vision for the country, and he vowed a "pledge to protect all religions" to colleagues and students.
"Today, on the anniversary of the martyrdom of Mahatma Gandhi, we take this pledge seriously and pay equal respect to all religions and cultures in our country, including different religions and cultures.
We all pledge that we will work hard to ensure that all religious beliefs and practices are given equal consideration".
ರಾಜ್ಯಶಾಸ್ತ್ರ ವಿಭಾಗವು 75 ನೇ ಸರ್ವೋದಯ ದಿನವನ್ನು ಕುವೆಂಪು ವೇದಿಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸೋಮವಾರ, ಜನವರಿ 30, 2023 ರಂದು ಬೆಳಿಗ್ಗೆ 11 ಗಂಟೆಗೆ ಆಯೋಜಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಎರಡು ನಿಮಿಷಗಳ ಶ್ರದ್ಧಾಂಜಲಿಯನ್ನು ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಶ್ರೀ ಸಿದ್ದರಾಜು ಅವರು ಮಹಾತ್ಮ ಗಾಂಧೀಜಿಯವರ ಮರಣ ಮತ್ತು ದೇಶದ ಮೇಲಿನ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯನ್ನು ವಿವರಿಸಿದರು ಮತ್ತು ಸಹೋದ್ಯೋಗಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಮತ್ತು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ "ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಧರ್ಮಗಳನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸುವ ಪ್ರತಿಜ್ಞೆ" ಯನ್ನು ಭೋದಿಸಿದರು.
"ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರಪಿತ ಮಹಾತ್ಮ ಗಾಂಧೀಜಿಯವರು ಹತ್ಯೆಗೆ ಗುರಿಯಾದ ಹುತಾತ್ಮರ ದಿನವಾದ ಇಂದು, ನಾವು ಈ ಪ್ರತಿಜ್ಞೆಯನ್ನು ಆತ್ಮಸಾಕ್ಷಿಯಾಗಿ ಸ್ವೀಕರಿಸುತ್ತಾ ವಿವಿಧ ಧರ್ಮಗಳನ್ನು ಮತ್ತು ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಯನ್ನು ಒಳಗೊಂಡಿರುವ ನಮ್ಮ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿನ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಧರ್ಮಗಳಿಗೂ, ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಗಳಿಗೂ ಸಮಾನ ಗೌರವ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸುತ್ತೇವೆ.
ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಧರ್ಮೀಯರ ನಂಬಿಕೆ ಮತ್ತು ಆಚರಣೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಸಮಾನ ಅವಕಾಶ ಸಲ್ಲುವಂತೆ ನಾವೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಶ್ರದ್ಧಾಪೂರ್ವಕವಾಗಿ ಶ್ರಮಿಸುತ್ತೇವೆ ಎಂದು ಈ ಮೂಲಕ ಪ್ರತಿಜ್ಞೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತೇವೆ".
