Department of Chemistry conducted an essay writing competition to the second and final year students as part of the activities to create awareness on pollution control strategies. Before conducting an essay writing competition Dr. B. N. Chandrashekar, Head of the department delivered a talk on the eve of National pollution control theme for the year 2023-24 “Sustainable Development for a clean and healthy planet”. Overall, voluntarily 29 students from the third semester and 5th semester submitted their essays. Considering these responses, the faculty of sciences selected 3 best essays out of 29 by rating them over 5 various parameters- Creativity, Structure, Grammar, Adherence to Topic, Length & creativity ideas to prevent pollution.
The selected 3 essays as winners of participants namely:

2. Abhilasha
3. Bhoomika
The result of this programme was a success in creating awareness among the students
