Inaugural Function of Cultural, Sports and Extra-Curricular Activities 2025–26

The Kala Sinchana Cultural Forum organized the Inaugural Function of Cultural, Sports and Extra-Curricular Activities 2025–26 on 30th August 2025 at the BGS Samudhaya Bhavan Auditorium.

The programme began with a prayer song by Prajwal I., I EKP student, followed by a graceful Bharatanatyam welcome dance presented by Nisha and team.

The formal inaugural session was graced by Dr. Dinamani, Assistant Professor, Maharaja’s College, who delivered the inaugural address. In her speech, she emphasized the importance of cultural, sports, and extra-curricular activities in shaping personality along with education. She stated that while art belongs to everyone, only those who adopt it sincerely can gain recognition and success. Arts, she remarked, help in nurturing good character.

Mr. Raghupathi, Inspector, Channarayapatna Urban Police Station, shared valuable suggestions with the students. He cautioned them against addiction to smoking and alcohol, as such habits destroy personality. He urged students to be responsible citizens and remain vigilant against rising cybercrimes. He advised them to be careful while posting on social media, as misuse could harm their reputation. He assured that the police department is always ready to help students in such situations, provided they follow the law.

Later, Swamiji blessed the students with his Ashirvachana. He inspired them with the message that parents’ tears should always be tears of joy, not sorrow. He encouraged students to build self-confidence, cultivate reading habits, and become skill-orientated individuals. He reminded them that knowledge has no boundaries and books never die and assured his support in guiding students toward their career goals.

The programme also included a welcome address by Dr. Manjunatha M.K., Principal of the college. Dr. B.N. Chandrashekar, IQAC Coordinator, introduced the guests, while Dr. N.T. Nagaraja, Assistant Professor of Political Science, delivered the vote of thanks. The event was anchored by Ms. Pavitha (III PM) and Ms. Lekhana (III CZ), who conducted the proceedings with enthusiasm.














Kala Sinchana 2025-26: Celebrating Student Talents

On 30-08-2025, the Kala Sinchana Cultural Forum of Sri Adichunchanagiri First Grade College, Channarayapatna, organized a Kala Sinchana 2025-26, a platform to celebrate and showcase student talents.

The programme began with a soulful performance by Prajwal H.I., a first-year B.A. student, who despite his visual impairment, mesmerized the audience with his melodious singing. The entire gathering applauded in unison, creating a rhythmic atmosphere of encouragement and appreciation.

This was followed by a vibrant group dance performance by the students, which added colour, energy, and joy to the celebration.

The event truly reflected the creativity, spirit, and enthusiasm of the students, making the day memorable.

National Sports Day 2025 – Tug of War Competition

On the occasion of National Sports Day 2025, a Tug of War Competition was organized in the college premises to encourage team spirit and physical fitness among students.

Mr. Santhosh K., alumnus of our college, presently serving in the Police Department, graced the event as the Chief Guest. A dedicated sports person, he shared his motivational journey and highlighted how, through his hard work and determination, he secured a prestigious Karnataka Government job.

The programme was presided over by Dr. Manjunatha M.K., Principal, and coordinated by Mr. Bhaskara J., Physical Education Director.

The competition witnessed enthusiastic participation from both boys and girls:

Protect Heritage: Preserve Monuments and Inscriptions

On 28th August 2025, the Department of History organized an awareness programme titled “Protect Heritage: Preserve Monuments and Inscriptions”. A poster highlighting the importance of heritage conservation was displayed during the morning assembly, drawing the attention of students and staff.

On this occasion, Mr. Shekimran, Head of the Department of History, addressed the gathering. In his speech, he emphasized the need to protect ancient monuments and inscriptions as they are invaluable sources of history, culture, and identity. He urged students to develop awareness about the preservation of heritage and to take pride in safeguarding monuments for future generations.

The programme successfully created awareness among students about the significance of cultural heritage and the responsibility of every citizen in its protection.

Our Culture, Our Pride – Special Gift for Lady Faculties

On 25th August 2025, our college organized a special programme titled “Our Culture, Our Pride – Special Gift for Lady Faculties.” As part of this cultural tradition of Kannadigas, the institution honored all the lady faculties with a Bhagina. The gift included traditional items such as bangles and flowers, symbolizing respect and appreciation.

The male faculties of the college took the lead in presenting these gifts to their women colleagues, adding warmth to the celebration. The event not only showcased the richness of Kannada culture but also strengthened the bond among faculty members by fostering a spirit of respect and togetherness.

The programme concluded with expressions of gratitude from the lady faculties, making it a memorable cultural celebration in the college.
