Shaping the Future with Physics: Career Avenues for Graduates and Post Graduates

The Department of Physics organized a programme titled “Shaping the Future with Physics: Career Avenues for Graduates and Postgraduates” on 30th October 2025.

The Resource Person for the session was Dr. Rohan N. Sagar, Assistant Professor, Department of Physics, Adichunchanagiri University. He highlighted various academic and industrial career opportunities available to Physics graduates and postgraduates, and motivated the students to plan their future pathways with confidence.

The programme began with a welcome speech by Smt. Arpitha H. J., Head of the Department, Physics. The session was presided over by Dr. Manjunatha M. K., Principal of the college. The vote of thanks was delivered by Smt. Sahana H. K., Assistant Professor, Department of Physics. The programme was anchored by Ms. Chandanasri, III B.Sc. student.

Self-Defense Awareness for Students

The Women Empowerment Cell, in association with the Women Sexual Harassment Prevention Cell, organized a programme on “Self-Defence Awareness for Students” on 28-10-2025 at 10:00 a.m. in the College Field.

The session was conducted by Blue Dragon Martial Arts of India (R). The defence master, Sensei Ganesh Kundapur, explained the importance of learning self-defence in today’s world and highlighted the various benefits offered by the government to students who take up martial arts training such as karate.

During the demonstration, the karate students showcased different self-defence techniques and illustrated how one can protect themselves during an attack. Sensei Ganesh also taught a few practical defence tricks, which the students eagerly practiced under his guidance.

The programme concluded with an interactive training session, leaving the students more confident and aware about their personal safety.

Hands on Training on Biomedical Instruments

The Department of Zoology organized a hands-on training session on Biomedical Instruments for II B.Sc. students on 24th October 2025 at Punya Hospital, Channarayapatna. The objective of this program was to impart practical knowledge and skill-based learning about basic biomedical instruments such as the Stethoscope, Sphygmomanometer, Thermometer, and Oximeter.

The session was conducted under the expert guidance of Dr. Mahesh and Dr. Prajwal, who explained the working principles, uses, and medical significance of each instrument. Students were given an opportunity to observe and perform demonstrations under supervision, gaining firsthand exposure to clinical procedures.

































Hasanamba Jathra Mahothsava – Rovers and Rangers Served As Volunteers

The Hassanamba Jathra Mahothsava is set to take place in Hassan from October The Hasanamba Jathra Mahothsava was held in Hassan from October 13, 2025, to October 23, 2025. On this occasion, the Bharat Scouts and Guides, Hassan District Association, called upon rovers and rangers to serve as volunteers during the ten-day event.

From our college Bharat Scouts and Guides Unit, fifteen rovers and fifteen rangers actively participated as volunteers. They rendered their valuable services day and night throughout the Mahothsava. Their duties included assisting elderly people, helping devotees with wheelchairs, managing the crowd, providing drinking water, and maintaining discipline and order under the guidance of higher authorities.

The dedication, discipline, and spirit of service displayed by our rovers and rangers were highly appreciated by the event organizers and the general public. The volunteering experience offered the students an opportunity to practice teamwork, responsibility, and compassion — the true essence of Scouting and Guiding principles.
