On the occasion of World AIDS Day, the Youth Red Cross and Red Ribbon Unit of SAFG College organized an Essay Competition on 01 December 2025 at 11:00 AM in the college Seminar Hall. The event aimed to promote awareness about HIV/AIDS and emphasize the significant role of youth in its prevention.
The topic for the competition was “Role of Youth in HIV/AIDS Awareness and Prevention.” Students were instructed to write their essays within the 400–500-word limit in either English or Kannada. A good number of students participated actively, expressing their ideas with clarity and commitment.
Based on content, originality, and presentation, the jury selected the First, Second, and third prize winners. The event was conducted smoothly, and the participants maintained discipline throughout, contributing to the success of the program. More than 30 students participated. Overall, the competition served as an insightful and motivating platform for students to share their perspectives and enhance awareness on HIV/AIDS.
