Educational Visit to Ranganathittu Bird Sanctuary

The Department of Zoology organized an educational visit to Ranganathittu Bird Sanctuary on 27.03.2026 for the I Year CBZ students. A total of 19 students, along with 3 faculty members, participated in the trip.

The visit was accompanied and guided by Dr. Nirupama M., Mrs. Arpitha H. J., and Mrs. Radamma K. M., who coordinated the programme efficiently. At the sanctuary, the students were guided by Ms. Gagana, Conservation Officer, who provided detailed information about the bird species, their habitats, and conservation practices followed in the sanctuary.

During the visit, students observed various migratory and resident birds in their natural surroundings. The guidance given by the Conservation Officer helped students gain deeper insights into avian diversity, ecological balance, and the importance of wildlife conservation.

The visit was highly educational and interactive, enabling students to relate their academic knowledge with field experience. Overall, the programme was successful and enriched the students’ understanding of biodiversity and conservation.
