Hands-on Plant Physiology Experiments in the Botanical Garden

The Department of Botany organized a practical session titled “Hands-on Plant Physiology Experiments in the Botanical Garden” on 27.02.2026 from 1.30 PM to 3.00 PM for II CBZ students.

The programme aimed to provide experiential learning in plant physiology through direct observation and experimentation in the natural environment. During the session, students were introduced to various physiological processes of plants, including transpiration, photosynthesis, and plant responses to environmental factors.

The Principal addressed the students and shared valuable knowledge about different plant species available in the botanical garden, emphasizing their ecological and academic importance.

Mrs. Sowmya from the Department of Botany explained the scientific terminology related to plant physiology and guided the students in understanding the practical aspects of physiological experiments. The session was interactive and helped students connect theoretical concepts with real-life observations.

Overall, the programme was informative and beneficial for enhancing practical knowledge in plant physiology.
