Special Lecture Programme: Political Analysis, Public Law and Rights are Fundamental Obligations

On June 30, 2023, the Department of Political Science hosted a Special Lecture Programme with the title: Political Analysis, Public Law and Rights are Fundamental Obligations. Mr. Jagadish V.N., Judge, Channarayapatna told the students that public should be aware of law, learn discipline in life to achieve their goal. 

A lawyer, Ms. C Chandana commented on the POCSO Act and Human Rights Act and stated that the Human Rights Act is in favour of the human being so long as it has to do with birth and death. The POCSO Act imposes penalties on minors who give in to temptation and steer their lives in the wrong direction. People below 18 years of age come under the POCSO Act. She emphasised to the students that political science students should be well-versed in the law, just as they are with the Constitution.

Mr. Suresh C HoD, Department of Political Science, Government Womens College, holenarsipura spoke about Fundamental Duties and Rights. We all have fundamental rights, but we also have fundamental duties that we must uphold.

Certificate Distribution Program to Winner in the UOM Malnad Zone Intercolligiate Women Kabbadi Tournament 2022-23

Our college's students placed first in the University of Mysore Malenadu Zone Intercollegiate Women Kabbadi Tournament 2022-23, which was held on 24^th June 2023 at Government Home Science College, Holenarasipura. Team received praise from the college, and certificates were given out during the prayer assembly on 27-06-2023 by the Dr. Ramegowda N.S., CEO, Sri Adichunchanagiri Shikshna Trust (R).

Dr. Ramegowda NS told the students about the benefits of sports in life. He advised daily newspaper reading as a habit that will advance our ability to think globally. A global challenge for government transparency: 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) 2030 Agenda for students should be developed and made aware of the program in colleges, he explained.

UOM Malnad Zone Intercolligiate Women Kabbadi Tournament

Department of Physical Education and Sports, Sri Adichunachangiri First Grade College Students has participated in a UOM Malnad Zone Intercolligiate Women Kabbadi Tournament, which was organized by Government Home Science College, Holenarasipura on 24^th June 2023. Out of Eight teams, our college secured first place in this tournament. The team was led by Mr.Bhaskara.J, Physical Education Instructor. The team participants were felicitated by Principal SAFG College, Channarayaptna.

Workshop on Employment in the Banking Sectors

Workshop on Employment in the Banking Sectors was a programme that was organised by the Alumni Association on 23-06-2023.  In attendance at the programme were Dr. M.K. Manjunath, Principal Dr. Praveen Kumar S, the secretariat, and the organising secretary Mrs. Bhaskara J. The resource people were Mr. Nagaraju FLC SBI from Channarayapatna Bank and Mr. Chandrashekara Patil, Manager of the Channarayapatna Branch of Canara Bank. After Kum Tejaswini's invocation song, Dr. Praveen Kumar S. he said, "Welcome to the meeting." lit the lamp to begin the programme. Mr. Nagarajur provided a brief overview of job opportunities in the banking and finance sectors, marketing sectors in loan sectors, and how to start an own business using bank facilities after Mr. Chandrashekara Patil delivered an introduction to banking to the programme. The programme ended with a vote of gratitude from the organising secretary Mr. Bhaskara J.
