Speech competition on “Kannada Nadu Nudi”

Speech competition on ‘Kannada Nadu Nudi’ has been held by Alumni association in collaboration with department of Kannada on 23-11-2024. Initially convener of alumni association discussed with head of department of Kannada on the occasion of Kannada Rajyotsava to organize a programme and finalised the chief guest and fixed the date in which day programme to be organized.

It was planned to conduct an Inter college Taluk level speech competition inviting two students from each PU Colleges across the taluk. On the basis of the invitation which was sent by the institution, the participants have been registered priorly. There were 26 students have been registered from 12 colleges around the city. The chief guest and Jury have been welcomed by Mr. Siddaraju, assistant professor of political science. Dr. H.P. Shankar, chief guest of the programme addressed the participants in his inaugural speech and advised them to participate the competition whatever it may be. In his presidential address Dr.MK Manjunath, principal spoke about the importance of Kannada language .

Soon after the completion of stage programme formally, it was open for competitors to explore their oratory skill. They have been given 5-6 minutes timings to complete their content. The invited jury members observed the competitors and evaluated them on the basis of the parameters given by the organizer. At the end of the competition jury members Mrs. Manjula KM, consolidated and announced the list of winners.

Chief Guest and Jury members along with the head of the institution distributed prizes to the winners. K S Sinchana, BGS PU College Channarayapatna, grabbed 3000 cash, a medal and a certificate as first prize, the second (2000 cash a medal and a certificates)  and third prize(1000 cash a medal and a certificates) were secured by CM Nisha Jnanasagara Brigade college and GR Bhaskar,Govt.PU college (pete) channarayapatna respectively. Consolation prize consists 500 rupee cash, a certificate and a medal goes to the following students: Nayana,Times PUcollege,DMShreyes,Navodaya PU College,Janani,Brigade PU College,K Bindhu,BGS PU College.other participants have been given certificates and a medal.There were Naveen K, Jury member , Niroosh MR,Head,department of Kannada Dr.N.T Nagaraja,Head , department of political science and other faculty members participated.

Alumni Annual Meet

Alumni association at Sri Adichinchagiri First Grade College held annual alumni meet on 13-07-2024 around 11AM in the seminar Hall. Initially the meeting commenced with the invocation by Bhavana,First B.Sc student.soon after the that Mr. Ningaraju, convener of Alumni Association welcomed all  alumni who have been present. Later all alumni and the president of the meet inaugurated through watering a plant.

Alumni, Mr.C N Ashok, Environmentalist as well as Chunchashree Awardee said that the institution created many famous  personalities in various field such as politically, educationally, culturally and socially. Quoting Dr.B R ambedkar’s words in his speech “one who forgets history; he never creates history” so everyone must recall their history and pay back the indebtedness to the institution where they get education.

Other alumni suggested in his speech that to organize national and state level competition would be organized every year at the institution in name of parama poojya sri. Sri. Sri. Dr.Balagangadhanatha Mahaswamiji.

VG Ashok one more alumni advised to hold meet on Sunday it would helpful to unite and assemble every alumnus in their busy schedule. He assured that he would available for the betterment of the institution ant time.

Mr.venkatesh, suggested that to introduce new courses to enhance the strength of the college. And also informed to get admit at least 5 students from each alumnus every year.

Dr. M K Manjunath principal addressed the gatherings in his presidential speech that they would plan to organize state and national level competition with the assistance all alumni.

Mr. Manjunath, alumni pleased the gatherings through his songs. The meeting filled with our colleagues, Non-teaching staffs and other alumni.

Finally the meeting ended with vote of thanks from Mr. Nandish Member of alumni.

Workshop on Employment in the Banking Sectors

Workshop on Employment in the Banking Sectors was a programme that was organised by the Alumni Association on 23-06-2023.  In attendance at the programme were Dr. M.K. Manjunath, Principal Dr. Praveen Kumar S, the secretariat, and the organising secretary Mrs. Bhaskara J. The resource people were Mr. Nagaraju FLC SBI from Channarayapatna Bank and Mr. Chandrashekara Patil, Manager of the Channarayapatna Branch of Canara Bank. After Kum Tejaswini's invocation song, Dr. Praveen Kumar S. he said, "Welcome to the meeting." lit the lamp to begin the programme. Mr. Nagarajur provided a brief overview of job opportunities in the banking and finance sectors, marketing sectors in loan sectors, and how to start an own business using bank facilities after Mr. Chandrashekara Patil delivered an introduction to banking to the programme. The programme ended with a vote of gratitude from the organising secretary Mr. Bhaskara J.
