The Kalasinchana Cultural Forum hosted a Talent Expo-2023 for students on Saturday, December 16, 2023 at BGS Bhavana. The program was inaugurated by the Chief Guest Dodalli Ramesh, Folk Artist ; Shivanagowda Patil, Folk Artist and Dr. M.K. Manjunatha, Principal.
Doddalli Ramesh, a Folk Artist, advocated for the students to preserve grassroots culture because they are the nation's greatest resource. According to him, folk literature captures the essence of the place in which it is read, is brought to life through song and performance, and should be appreciated by all, especially by young people.
Shivanagowda Patil, Folk Artist, parents have a responsibility to safeguard their children's interests and help them lead fulfilling lives by putting aside negativity and choosing the right way.
C.C. Kumar, Principal, BGS PU College, said that if you strive high in life, you will succeed, learn from books, and your teachers will guide you in the right direction.
Principal Dr. M.K. Manjunath declared during his speech that a good life would be the name of any effort done with commitment and honesty.
Folk musicians Doddalli Ramesh and Shivanagowda Patil sang a variety of folk tunes, including Male Mahadeshwara, Sobane Pada, Gi-Gi pada, Lavani and so on.
Mrs. Arpitha H.J., Convener of the Kalasinchana Cultural Forum, gave the welcome speech. Mr. Chethana D.S., Assistant Professor, Department of Geography, took the vote of thanks. R.K. Shivappa, Assistant Professor, Department of Kannada, anchors the programme.
