In 01-11-2024 at 8.00 am 69th Kannada Rajyothsava Programme was organized at kuvempu stage. Chikkegowda Director of physical education of BGS Public School and the Principal Dr. M K Manjunath hosted the National flag and Kannada flag in the programme. The students sang the National anthem and state anthem. Later Lecturers and students offered floral tributes to goddess Bhuvaneshvari.

Starting with Aluru Venkataraya’s call for a Kannada linguistic state, the movement had slowly started gaining momentum and following. It was also around the time that the Indian independence movement was gathering momentum. Organisations in the movement began organising rallies, talks and conferences where demands for a separate state for Kannada speaking people was made. Apart from Aluru, supporters like Gudleppa Hallikeri, Siddappa Kambli, R H Deshpande, Rangarao Diwakar, Koujalgi Srinivasarao, Srinivas Rao Mangalvedhe, A. J. Doddameti, Kengal Hanumanthaiah, Gorur Ramaswamy Iyengar, S Nijalingappa, T Mariyappa, Subramanya, Sowcar Chennaiah, H K Veerangowda, H C Dasappa, H. Siddaiah, K. R. Karanth, B. S. Kakkillaya, B. V. Kakkillaya and Anakru were by now prominent in the movement. Anakru in particular, was influential with his writing a nd oratory. She suggested that students should development Kannada love.
Later Dr. M K Manjunatha Pricipal SAFG College delivered a presidential talk. Programme was concluded by vote of thanks by Mr. R K Shivappa Assistant Professor Department of Kannada. Overall the event was grand success.
