Department of Kannada organised a special lecture programme in collaboration with Karnataka Sahithya Academy on the topic entitled “Kannada Kavya Parampare Samikshe” on 04-02-2025 at Seminar Hall in the Institution. The programme commenced at 11 AM, initially invocation song had been sung by the student. Soon after that Mr.Shivappa, Assistant Professor of Kannada welcomed the chief guests and other faculty members from various departments along with students. Smt. Sujatha HR, senior poetess, member coordinator, Sahithya Academy Bangalore, opined in her speech that chakora programme is being organized in every month; to create the taste of literature.Everyone must read the song of Kuvempu, national poet of Kannada, to build a country of brotherhood, cooperation and universalism. Dr. HL Malleshgowda , Retired professor, District Coordinator for Kannada Sahithya Academy,Hassan and president, kannada Sahithya parishath,Hassan addressed the gatherings and said that the literature had the capacity to impart good culture which transforms the personality of everyone. Dr . MK Manjunath,principal presided over the programme. RK Shivappa, assistant professor of Kannada , Nagesh JE and Niroosha MR , Head , Department of Kannada, were also present in the programme.
