On 22nd September 2025, the Department of History organized a field visit to the Chennakeshava Swamy Temple in Anekere, with 18 students participating. The visit aimed to provide firsthand experience of the temple’s historical and architectural significance. Guided by faculty members and local experts, the students explored the intricate Hoysala-style carvings, sculptures, and inscriptions, gaining insights into the temple’s cultural and religious heritage. The visit allowed students to connect classroom learning with real-life historical sites, enhancing their understanding of Karnataka’s rich architectural traditions and fostering an appreciation for local history.
