The Department of Geography organized World Bamboo Day on 18th September 2025.
On this occasion, Sowmya C.V., Assistant Professor of Botany, delivered an insightful speech highlighting the importance of bamboo in ecological balance, sustainable development, and its diverse uses.
The programme was organized by Nalina H.I., who coordinated the event successfully.
Dr. M.K. Manjunatha, Principal, delivered the presidential address, emphasizing the need to protect and promote bamboo cultivation for environmental sustainability.
The event witnessed active participation from students and faculty, creating awareness about the ecological and economic significance of bamboo.
