A Special Lecture on Financial Literacy and Cyber Frauds Awareness was organized by the Department of Commerce on 10th February 2026 at Sri Adichunchanagiri First Grade College, Channarayapatna.
The resource person for the session was Mr. Srinath Kulakarani, SEBI Smart Trainer. He delivered an insightful lecture on the importance of financial literacy, investment awareness, budgeting, and safe digital transactions.
The session also focused on various types of cyber frauds, such as phishing scams, OTP frauds, online banking frauds, UPI scams, and social media hacking. Students were educated on preventive measures, including safeguarding personal information, verifying suspicious links, and reporting cyber crimes through official portals.
The lecture was highly informative and interactive. Students actively participated and clarified their doubts. The program concluded with a vote of thanks by the faculty of the Department of Commerce.
