The Department of History organized the Birth Anniversary celebration of Vardhamana Mahavira on 31st March 2026 in the college seminar hall with great devotion and enthusiasm.
The programme was presided over by the Principal, who addressed the gathering and highlighted the timeless teachings of Mahavira, especially his principles of Ahimsa (non-violence), truth, and compassion, which remain highly relevant in today’s society.
HOD Shekimran delivered the introductory speech, explaining the significance of observing Mahavira Jayanti and emphasising the importance of moral values in shaping responsible citizens.
Mr. Ravivarma, delivered an insightful special lecture on the life and philosophy of Vardhamana Mahavira. He elaborated on Mahavira’s teachings and encouraged students to practice ethical values, self-discipline, and non-violence in their daily lives.
Students and faculty members actively participated in the programme, making it a meaningful and informative event. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all who contributed to the success of the celebration.
