The Department of Zoology celebrated World Environment Day 2026 on 05.06.2026 with the objective of creating awareness among students about environmental conservation and sustainable living. The programme was observed through a sapling plantation drive on the college campus.
During the programme, students and faculty members actively participated in planting various saplings in and around the campus. The activity emphasized the importance of protecting nature, increasing green cover, and maintaining ecological balance. Faculty members encouraged students to take responsibility for nurturing the planted saplings and to contribute towards a cleaner and greener environment.
The programme successfully instilled environmental awareness among the students and highlighted the significance of tree plantation in preserving the environment for future generations.
