Voting Awareness Program for Students

Voting Awareness Program was organized by Taluk Sweep Committee in collaboration with NSS of our College and Election Literacy Committee of College.Addressing the students, Taluk Panchayat Assistant Director Girish said that everyone should vote diligently, elect a worthy representative and no one should stay away from voting. He made the students aware about the method of voting and the work done at the polling station. He taught everyone the oath of voting.

College Principal Dr. M.K. Manjunath inaugurated the signature collection ceremony. Enfranchised students, lecturers and staff participated in the signature campaign.

Quiz Competition

A quiz competition for final-year CBZ students was held at G6 Hall on April 25, 2023, at 12:30 with the approval of the principal, Dr. Manjunath M. K., and the head of the zoology department, Dr. Nirupama M.

The "World Earth Day" quiz competition was organised to raise awareness and highlight the importance of the planet. The quiz was to last 20 minutes and had 20 questions on earth day celebrations and environmental issues. 32 students participated, and the department faculty valued their responses. Two students earned 20 out of a 20 marks.

Earth Day

 World earth day is celebrated on 24April each year in our College to spread awareness about conserving earth. The program started at 12 pm with a speech given by the Naganna E Former Principal on how we should conserve our earth and mother nature. At last we all thank our teachers and principal Dr Manjunath M.K. for giving us knowledge on how to conserve mother earth.

World Book Day

On April 24, 2023, the Library and Information Centre, in collaboration with the Department of Kannada and IQAC, observed World Book Day. A Author talk was organized as part of World Book Day. Tarun Gowda, II BA student, opened the programme with the invocation of Shardha Song. After the formal welcome speech given by Sridhar A.N., Assistant Professor, Department of Commerce, offered floral tributes to the portrait of Padmabhushan Dr. Sri Sri Sri Balagangadharanatha Mahaswamiji and wateried the plants as the program's inaugural event by the Resource Person and the Principle, as well as offered by the other faculty members. Dr. Nirupama M., Assistant Professor in the Department of Zoology, delivered the keynote address.

Resource persons Shri Honnashettihalli Giriraj is the most well-known authors of Channarayapatna Taluk. He discussed the value of reading in life, he impressed upon the students the importance of books. He thoroughly explained to the students the concepts found in storybook, the contents of poetry anthologies, and the advantages of making reading fiction, drama. He instructed the students to form the reading habit also takes us towards our goal, so develop the habit of reading. 

Later, Dr. M.K. Manjunath, Principal, SAFG College delivered the presidential talk.

Dr. B.N. Chandrashekhar, the IQAC Coordinator, gave the official Vote of Thanks at the conclusion of the event, and Ms. Sanjana C.P., Assistant Professor, Department of History acted as the Anchor of the Programme. and Mis Kavitha J.N. Librarian is the convenor of the Event.
