Retail Store Visit

 As a part of Principles of Marketing and Management course, Marketing centre Sri Adichunchanagiri First Grade College, Channarayapatna organized a Retail store visit for the B.Com Students on 28^th of November 2023.  Students were organized into three groups and each group visited three different places like Inventory management, Layout management and Marketing activities Experts in the field of marketing in  store addressed the students on the current marketing practices followed and clarified the questions raised by the students. Following the interaction with the experts, students were encouraged to observe and interact with the customers to understand and describe the profile of market segment visiting each store. Faculty team of B.Com including Mr, Sridhar A N, Head Department of Commerce, Mr. Narasimhamurthy P. Assistant Professor guided the students during the field visit.

As part of Retail store visit, Mr. Raju Sr. Executive – Visual Merchandising & Marketing, Ms. Suvitha Lakshmanan – Deputy Manager HR, Relance smart Pvt Ltd addressed the students on various market segments of SPAR and explained the business model and other marketing strategies followed by Reliance during the field study.

Constitution Day

On Monday 27-11-2023, the Department of Political Science organized the Constitution Day in collaboration with the Channarayapatna Bar Association.

Shri. V.N. Jagadish, the 4th Additional District and Sessions Judge, inaugurated the programme.

 Dr B R Ambedkar studied the constitution of other counters and drafted a suitable constitution  for the Indian system. Lis special feature is that the rules have been formulated detail regarding the performance of Judicial, Executive and legislative functions . Also, the elections have been thoroughly informed. Everyone should read the constitution to enhance their general knowledge.

Field Coordinator of Education department Sri Anilkumar K N  said “ it took two year 11months 18 days to make the constitution of India. this is the greatest contribution to uphold the feelings of freedom  equality and fraternity”. Principal Dr M K Manjunath this programme  president . Head of department of political Science Dr Nagaraja N T speech .Assistant Professor Sri Siddaraju preached the pledge of allegiance on the proposed constitution .  Advocate Association President Sri Vashu D A, Advocate Sri Manjesh D C . Sri Lokesh  Assistant Professor were present.

Field visit to Dhanavanthrivana and Natural farming, Becca

From the department of botany conducted field visit to the above said place on 24-11-2023. It is conducted for 5^th semester students to see the medicinal plants, wild plants and natural farming. It is nearer to village Becca run by farmer Raghavendra. We started moving from our department at 10:30am along with 12 students headed by Sowmya C V.

In that farm we have observed many wild plants, some taxonomy family related plants and medicinal plants like kadambavruksha, shami,sitaashoca ,hippali,sarpagandha,anjur, amruthnoni and others. Many wild plants are also observed in that region. He has grown many such plants along with Coconut, Banana, Areca nut and many fruit yielding plants without removing the weed and without applying fertilizers or compost.

Department of Kannada organized an Essay on youth Kannada Nadu Nudi Chinthane on 24-11-2023 at 11 am. 35 members participated in the essay competition.
