Nasha Mukti Bharat Abhiyan (Drug-Free India Campaign) is an initiative of the Government of India aimed at eradicating the scourge of drug abuse in the country. As part of this campaign, various programs and activities are organized across the country to create awareness and encourage people to take a stand against drug addiction.
A mass pledge was organized in our college on 12th August 2024 at 10 am as part of Nasha Mukti Bharat Abhiyan. The programme was organized by Dr. Nirupama M in Kuvempu Vedike. The pledge is "I pledge to stay away from drugs and lead a healthy, productive life. I will support those who are struggling with addiction and work towards creating a drug-free community. Together, we can make India a Nasha Mukt Bharat." This was thought by Mr. Narashimhamurthy. All the students including faculty participated and took the pledge. The pledge serves as both a personal commitment and a public declaration of support for the fight against drug abuse, contributing to the overall goals of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan.
