A Special Lecture on “The Importance of Political Science in Competitive Examinations” was organized by the Department of Political Science on 27.03.2026 in the seminar hall of the college.
The programme was presided over by Dr. M.K. Manjunatha, Principal, who addressed the gathering and highlighted the relevance of political science in shaping informed citizens and its significance in various competitive examinations.
The resource person for the session was Dr. Mahesh M., Assistant Professor, PG Centre, Government Independent Arts and Commerce College, Hassan. In his insightful lecture, he explained the importance of political science in competitive exams such as civil services, KPSC, and other government examinations. He elaborated on key areas of the subject, preparation strategies, and the need for conceptual clarity and regular practice.
Dr. N.T. Nagaraja, Convenor of the programme, welcomed the gathering and emphasized the objective of organizing such lectures for the benefit of students. The session was highly informative and interactive, with students actively participating and clarifying their doubts.
