The Youth Red Cross and Red Ribbon Unit organized an “Anemia Awareness and Hemoglobin Testing Camp” on 17.04.2026 in collaboration with Harshitha Institution. The programme aimed to create awareness among students about anaemia and to promote better health practices.
During the programme, Mr. Ramashetty delivered an informative session on anemia, explaining its causes, symptoms, and preventive measures. He emphasized the importance of maintaining proper nutrition and regular health check-ups to avoid complications related to low hemoglobin levels.
The Principal addressed the gathering and advised the students to adopt healthy food habits, highlighting the importance of a balanced diet rich in iron and essential nutrients for maintaining good health.
As part of the camp, hemoglobin levels of students were tested. Students identified with low hemoglobin levels were provided with iron supplements and were advised to improve their dietary intake. They were also instructed to recheck their hemoglobin levels after one month to monitor improvement.
The programme was highly beneficial in creating health awareness and encouraging students to take proactive steps towards maintaining their well-being. The organizers expressed their gratitude to Harshitha Institution for their support and cooperation in successfully conducting the camp.
