Sri Adichunchanagiri First Grade College, Channarayapatna

The 79th Independence Day was celebrated with great patriotic fervour and enthusiasm on the college campus. The event was presided over by Dr. M.K. Manjunatha, Principal of the institution, and graced by Sri G.K. Puttaraju, Subedar Major & Honorary Lieutenant (Retd), who served as the Chief Guest.

The programme commenced with the flag hoisting ceremony, followed by the rendition of the National Anthem, evoking a sense of unity and pride among all present. The Chief Guest addressed the gathering, inspiring students with his words on patriotism, discipline, and the responsibilities of the younger generation in nation-building, and he shared his inspiring journey in the military, recalling the early stages of his service, the challenges faced, and the transformation of conditions in the armed forces over the years. His words instilled a deep sense of respect for the sacrifices made by defence personnel.

Dr. M.K. Manjunatha delivered the presidential address, emphasising the importance of patriotism, discipline, and the role of education in nation-building.

The proceedings were smoothly anchored by Mr. Bhaskara J., Physical Education Director. On this memorable occasion, the College News Letter (July 2024 – August 2025) was officially released. The editorial board members—Dr. M.K. Manjunatha, Mrs. Kavitha J.N., and Mr. Nandeesha H.S.—were recognised for their efforts in bringing the publication to fruition.

The celebration concluded with cultural performances by students, reflecting the rich heritage and unity of the nation. The event fostered a spirit of patriotism and reinforced the importance of working together for a better future.

ಕಾಲೇಜಿನಲ್ಲಿ 79ನೇ ಸ್ವಾತಂತ್ರ್ಯ ದಿನಾಚರಣೆ ವೈಭವದಿಂದ ಮತ್ತು ದೇಶಭಕ್ತಿಯಿಂದ ಆಚರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.

ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲರಾದ ಡಾ. ಎಂ.ಕೆ. ಮಂಜುನಾಥ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷತೆ ವಹಿಸಿದ್ದರು ಮತ್ತು ಮುಖ್ಯ ಅತಿಥಿಯಾಗಿ ಶ್ರೀ ಜಿ.ಕೆ. ಪುಟ್ಟರಾಜು, ಸುಬೆದಾರ್ ಮೇಜರ್ ಮತ್ತು ಗೌರವಾನ್ವಿತ ಲೆಫ್ಟಿನೆಂಟ್ (ನಿವೃತ್ತ), ಪಾಲ್ಗೊಂಡು ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಕ್ಕೆ ಶೋಭೆ ತಂದರು.

ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಆರಂಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಧ್ವಜಾರೋಹಣ ನೆರವೇರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು, ನಂತರ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರಗೀತೆಯ ಸಂಗೀತಭರಿತ ಹಾಡು ಸಭಿಕರಲ್ಲಿ ಏಕತೆ ಮತ್ತು ಗರಿಮೆಯ ಭಾವನೆ ಮೂಡಿಸಿತು. ಮುಖ್ಯ ಅತಿಥಿಯಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಪುಟ್ಟರಾಜು ಅವರು ಸಮಾವೇಶವನ್ನು ಉದ್ದೇಶಿಸಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ, ದೇಶಭಕ್ತಿ, ಶಿಸ್ತು ಮತ್ತು ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಯುವ ಜನಾಂಗದ ಪಾತ್ರದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಉತ್ಸಾಹದಿಂದ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದರು. ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಸೇನಾ ಸೇವೆಯ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭಿಕ ದಿನಗಳು, ಎದುರಿಸಿದ ಸವಾಲುಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಸೇನೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದ ಬದಲಾವಣೆಗಳ ಕುರಿತಾಗಿ ತಾವು ಅನುಭವಿಸಿದ ನೆನಪುಗಳನ್ನು ಹಂಚಿಕೊಂಡರು. ಅವರ ಮಾತುಗಳು ರಕ್ಷಣಾ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿಯ ತ್ಯಾಗದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಗಂಭೀರ ಗೌರವವನ್ನು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಹುಟ್ಟಿಸಿತು.

ಡಾ. ಎಂ.ಕೆ. ಮಂಜುನಾಥ ಅವರು ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷೀಯ ಭಾಷಣದಲ್ಲಿ ದೇಶಭಕ್ತಿ, ಶಿಸ್ತು ಮತ್ತು ಶಿಕ್ಷಣದ ಮೂಲಕ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣದ ಮಹತ್ವವನ್ನು ಹಿತವಚನಗಳಿಂದ ವಿವರಿಸಿದರು.

ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ನಿರೂಪಣೆಯನ್ನು ದೈಹಿಕ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಭಾಸ್ಕರ ಜೆ. ಅವರು ನಿಭಾಯಿಸಿದರು.

ಈ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ನ್ಯೂಸ್‌ ಲೆಟರ್‌ ಪತ್ರಿಕೆ (ಜುಲೈ 2024 – ಆಗಸ್ಟ್ 2025) ಅನ್ನು ಅಧಿಕೃತವಾಗಿ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆ ಮಾಡಲಾಯಿತು. ಸಂಪಾದಕ ಮಂಡಳಿಯ ಸದಸ್ಯರಾದ ಡಾ. ಎಂ.ಕೆ. ಮಂಜುನಾಥ, ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಕವಿತಾ ಜೆ.ಎನ್., ಮತ್ತು ಶ್ರೀ ನಂದೀಶ ಎಚ್.ಎಸ್. ಅವರ ಕೊಡುಗೆಗೆ ಅಭಿನಂದನೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.

ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಂದ ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಗಳು ಪ್ರದರ್ಶನಗೊಂಡು, ನಮ್ಮ ದೇಶದ ವೈವಿಧ್ಯಮಯ ಪರಂಪರೆ ಮತ್ತು ಏಕತೆ ಮೆರೆದವು.

ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ದೇಶಪ್ರೇಮದ ಮನೋಭಾವನೆ ಮೂಡಿಸಿ ಉತ್ತಮ ಭವಿಷ್ಯಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಒಗ್ಗಟ್ಟಾಗಿ ಕಾರ್ಯನಿರ್ವಹಿಸುವ ಅಗತ್ಯವಿದೆ ಎಂಬ ಸಂದೇಶವನ್ನೂ ನೀಡಿತು.
