The Department of Kannada of Sri Adichunchanagiri First Grade College organized a One-Day Educational Trip to Kavishaila, Kuppali, on 12th September 2026. The trip was organized to help students gain a deeper understanding of the life, literary works, and legacy of Rashtrakavi Kuvempu.
A total of 51 students participated in the trip. The students visited Kavishaila, where they explored the memorial associated with Kuvempu and learned about his contribution to Kannada literature and his literary philosophy. The visit provided students with an opportunity to connect their classroom learning with the literary and cultural heritage of Karnataka.
The students also visited Sringeri, Hariharapura, and Sakrebyle Elephant Camp, gaining valuable exposure to the region's cultural, spiritual, natural, and ecological significance. The trip was an enriching learning experience that combined literature, culture, heritage, and nature.
The trip was coordinated by Dr. N. T. Nagaraja, HoD, Department of Political Science, along with Mr. R. K. Shivappa, Department of Kannada; Ms. Kavana C. K., Department of English; and Mr. Lokesh G. S., Department of Economics.
