The NSS Unit-II of Sri Adichunchanagiri First Grade College participated in the State-Level Gandhian Values Camp held from 5th September 2026 to 11th September 2026 at Government First Grade College, Didaga, Channarayapatna, for a period of seven days.
A total of 12 NSS volunteers, comprising 5 women and 7 men, participated in the camp under the guidance of Mr. Bhaskara J., NSS Officer, Unit-II.
As part of the camp activities, the NSS volunteers actively participated in various community service and cleanliness activities. They undertook the cleaning of the 1,000-year-old Ishwara Temple, including the surrounding Kola, contributing to the preservation and maintenance of the historical and cultural heritage site. The volunteers also visited Sri Kshetra Kabbali Temple and participated in service-oriented activities.
The volunteers further carried out painting and maintenance work at the Government High School and Government Pre-University College, contributing to the improvement of the educational environment. These activities provided students with practical experience in community service and strengthened their sense of social responsibility.
The camp focused on Gandhian values, cleanliness, community service, self-discipline, social responsibility, heritage conservation, and service to society. The participation helped the NSS volunteers develop teamwork, leadership, cooperation, and a spirit of voluntary service, in keeping with the ideals of NSS and Gandhian philosophy.
