A Blood Donation and Eye Check-Up Camp was successfully organized on 25th March 2026 by the Youth Red Cross and Red Ribbon Unit of SAFG College, in collaboration with the Bharateeya Red Cross Samsthe, Taluk Ghataka, Channarayapatna.
The program commenced at 10:00 AM with a symbolic watering of the plant, marking the event's inauguration. The programme was convened by Dr. Nirupama M., who coordinated the activities effectively.
On this occasion, Mr. Bharathkumar, Convenor of the Bharateeya Red Cross Samsthe, Taluk Ghataka, Channarayapatna, addressed the gathering. In his speech, he highlighted the importance of blood donation and encouraged students to actively participate in such noble causes, emphasizing how a single unit of blood can save lives.
Following the inaugural session, students voluntarily participated in the blood donation drive. A total of 50 units of blood were collected from enthusiastic donors. Simultaneously, an eye check-up camp was conducted for all students and interested faculty members, ensuring awareness and early detection of eye-related issues.
The program was a great success, reflecting a spirit of service and social responsibility among the students and staff.
